Many of those who practice feng shui make use of the money tree.  The money tree is said to balance a room when it is missing one of the five elements.  The five elements are earth, wood, metal, fire and water.  Each branch of the money plant has five leaves.  These five leaves represent the five elements.  If a tree with more than five leaves is found, it is highly prized as it is said to bring extra good. luck.

The Money Tree

Our next interesting plant is the Money Plant Tree.  This is a plant I love.  Not only does the money tree look good, but it is said to bring good fortune and prosperity to it's owner.  It is prized for it's story, it's beauty and it's common use by those who practice feng shui. 

Another great thing about it is that once you have the basic growing instructions figured out, it is not too difficult to maintain.  You really can't go wrong with a Money Tree.  Next time we will go over it's story.  Gotta love a plant with a story and with a purpose!
